Free Community Art Activity

  • Eugenia H. Young Memorial Library 104 Howie Drive Shelby, NC, 28150 United States (map)

Join us on the first Tuesday of the month from 4:30 - 6:30 PM in the Shelby Library’s Makerspace.

In April, we’ll be making DIY paper from old paper scraps. Learn how to recycle into something new and beautiful! While all materials will be provided, feel free to bring some dried flowers and seeds to decorate your paper with. You are also welcome to bring your recycled paper as long as you:

  • Soak heavier papers like construction paper, magazines, card stock, etc., for 24 hours

  • Soak light-weight paper like copy paper for 4-8 hours

All materials will be provided and activity will continue while supplies last. Children under 12 should be supervised by an adult.
