Introduction
In July we were focused on building new relationships and expanding our reach to more community stakeholders. New maternal mental health information was added to our website, which you can find here along with a wide range of other mental health topics.
Along with our usual programming, we were invited by the library to help host a program called Sounds of Art. Participants were invited to listen to a playlist and notice what feelings come up, then, using the materials provided, create art based on those feelings.
It was a great exercise in just letting yourself feel your emotions and understanding how you interpret those emotions. We hope to offer similar programming in the future.
Back to School Mental Health Toolkit
In August we'll be focusing on mental health resources for going back to school and the mental health challenges associated with school. Throughout the month, check on our website and social media for information from transitioning kids back to school to bullying.
