Community Resiliency Model (CRM) Training

What is CRM?

The Community Resiliency Model is evidence-based and trains community members to not only help themselves but to help others within their wider social network. The primary focus of this skills-based, stabilization program is to re-set the natural balance of the nervous system.

CRM’s goal is to help to create “trauma-informed” and “resiliency-focused” communities that share a common understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system and how resiliency can be restored or increased using this skills-based approach.

Who Should Be Trained?

CRM Workshops introduces the six wellness skills of CRM designed to help adults and children learn to track their own nervous systems in order to bring the body, mind and spirit back into greater balance, and to encourage people to pass the skills along to family, friends and their wider community.

Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Training

What is QPR?

QPR is an evidence-based suicide prevention training.
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer. 3-steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide. This training prepares you to recognize a potential suicide crisis and know how and where to find help. Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives.

Who Should be Trained?

Everyone! A Gatekeeper is anyone trained to recognize a suicide crisis and, because of their training, knows how and where to find help. Suicide is a public health concern for the entire community and is one of the most preventable deaths.

QPR is not intended to be a form of counseling or treatment.

QPR is intended to offer hope through positive action.

QPR is intended to teach those who are in a position to recognize the warning signs, clues and suicidal communications of people in trouble to ACT vigorously to prevent a possible tragedy.
