June 2025: E-Newsletter
To get this newsletter sent to your email, join our mailing list here.
Introduction
June was PTSD Awareness Month. To honor it, we put together a blog post detailing information about trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, and coping skills. If you'd like to read more from our blog, click here.
In June, we also developed new community connections that have allowed us to offer art activities to Kings Mountain Behavioral Health. We hope to be able to offer more programming to other community organizations and agencies that best suit their needs. If you'd like to learn about the ways we can offer programming to your agency, contact us at 704-481-8637 or emailing ttolbert@clevelandcountymha.org or egrimsley@clevelandcountymha.org.
Alongside of our usual programming in July, we will also be co-hosting an event at the Eugenia H. Young Memorial Library called "Sounds of Art." This event will explore the connection between emotions and music, using art as the medium by which you express the emotion. Join us at 5:30 pm at the Eugenia H. Young Memorial Library to participate.
See you in July!
Perinatal Mental Health
Each month, we've made it a goal to research on and share information about a specific topic in mental health. In July, we are focusing on perinatal mental health.
Earlier this year, we put out a survey to hear from our community about what resource and education gaps exist in our community. Perinatal mental health came up a few times in the responses. Throughout July we will be sharing information and resources about this topic.
In the meantime, check out this list of resources we've compiled:
